Job Summary

The County of Chester is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, resolving their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner
  • Provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding our services and policies
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve customer satisfaction
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our services and policies to effectively respond to customer inquiries
  • Utilize technology and tools to efficiently manage customer interactions and resolve issues
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service experience; experience in a call center or customer-facing role a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with diverse customer populations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a public sector or government agency
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information
