Position Overview:
As a General Manager at Tucanos, you will hold the primary responsibility for ensuring the genuine care and satisfaction of each guest while overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations.
You will act as an entrepreneur, possessing full authority over all decisions made within your restaurant.
Your judgment, drive, passion, and leadership will influence every aspect of the restaurant—from creating a fun and festive atmosphere to inspiring joy within your team, and delivering exceptional cuisine along with the finest personal care and service to your guests.
Your restaurant will reflect your values and beliefs. The successful General Manager embodies various roles, including team leader, coach, mentor, educator, and friend.
We will provide you with the tools and support necessary, but it will be your leadership that makes the significant difference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily restaurant operations, including the selection, development, and performance management of team members.
- Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, including inventory management, ordering supplies, adherence to recipes, and the preparation and delivery of exceptional meals to guarantee an unparalleled dining experience for each guest.
- Maintaining strict compliance with food safety and cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.
- Leading your team in delivering the finest personal care and service to our guests through effective hiring, training, and development of team members.
- Fostering a strong presence in the local community and promoting community engagement by restaurant management and team members.
- Accountability for the restaurant's financial performance, including budgets, sales, food costs, labor costs, and controllable expenses.
- The General Manager will report to the District Manager and Director of Operations.
Qualifications:
- Preferred college degree.
- Minimum of three years of progressive and relevant experience.
- Experience in supervising and managing staff.
- Exceptional leadership abilities.
- Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and scheduling.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with P&L accountability.
