Clinical Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Clinician to join our team at UMass Memorial Health. As a Clinician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your expertise will be essential in conducting eligibility screenings, comprehensive intake and follow-up assessments, and developing treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct diagnostic and risk assessments to determine the appropriate level of care for clients.
- Develop and implement behaviorally oriented treatment plans that are measurable and tailored to the client's needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and coordinate services with external agencies and organizations.
- Participate in utilization management and employ CARF standards to ensure high-quality care.
- Build strong relationships with clients, families, and community partners to facilitate referrals and care coordination.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Master's degree in a clinical course of study in behavioral health (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or related field) that meets the academic requirements for independent licensure in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Licensure as LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT.
- Ability to perform diagnostic and risk assessments using current accepted tools and practices.
- Ability to develop and implement treatment plans that are behaviorally oriented, measurable, and appropriate for the identified level of care.
We prefer candidates with:
- A minimum of one year of experience in behavioral health or addiction.
- Clinical expertise specific to adults with substance use conditions and co-occurring severe and persistent mental illness.
This role requires work indoors in patient care and office environments. The work is considered sedentary, and regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is essential.
