About the Role

Inpria, a subsidiary of JSR Corporation, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Chemist to join our R&D chemistry characterization team in Corvallis, OR.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute experiments to elucidate the link between lithographic observables and chemical properties.
  • Develop new metrology to investigate thermal mechanisms of thin films.
  • Identify and collect key chemical datasets using internal and external analytical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with lithography and synthesis teams on resist design and performance evaluation.
  • Perform NMR, FTIR, TGA, ESI-MS, ellipsometry, and other measurements as part of integrated experiments.
  • C Coat, expose, and process photoresist films under precisely controlled experimental conditions.
  • Track and manage long-term, large-scale experiments across various media and methodologies.
Requirements
  • M.S. in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science, or a related discipline; PhD preferred.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement and innovation in an applied research setting in deposition, characterization, and analysis of thin film materials, materials science, or other relevant field.
  • Active and effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and proactive in achieving goals.
  • Teamwork skills to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative research environment.
  • Strong history of safe laboratory practice and active participation in laboratory and workplace safety programs.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. from floor to countertop.
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs. overhead.
  • Ability to use a glovebox with thick rubber gloves to accurately pour, pipet, mix, and handle chemicals in small bottles.
  • Ability to wear standard laboratory attire.
  • Ability to wear standard PPE.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to use a keyboard and mouse for computer data entry and/or analysis, and presenting data.
