Under the supervision of the Controller, this role is essential in managing financial operations within the Finance department. Responsibilities include overseeing cash management, processing accounts payable, reviewing staff data entries, and executing additional tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and update the weekly cash forecast to assist in executive decision-making.
  2. Conduct monthly reconciliations of balance sheets.
  3. Support the annual audit and budgeting processes.
  4. Record various journal entries and financial transactions accurately.
  5. Code and input accounts payable requests along with credit and credit card transactions.
  6. Post daily cash receipts efficiently.
  7. Prepare allocations for property and insurance.
  8. Assist in reviewing grant billings and creating grant budgets.
  9. Keep track of agency vehicle mileage logs.
  10. Oversee petty cash funds responsibly.
  11. Open and verify physical mail in collaboration with Finance staff.
  12. Contribute to team objectives by achieving results as necessary.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in accounting is required, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional accounting role. Experience in the non-profit sector is preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, is essential. Familiarity with accounting software is advantageous. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, and prioritization abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with customers at all levels. A personal vehicle for agency-related business is required, along with proof of insurance.

In accordance with pay transparency, the salary range for this position is provided. Individual placement within this range will depend on the candidate's experience, education, skills, and abilities relevant to the role. Salary placement typically falls between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range.
