Lead Video Production Specialist

Your Role

You recognize the extraordinary ability of video to communicate and evoke feelings.

Video plays a crucial role in effectively positioning Stantec's brand. Collaborating closely with Marketing, Communications & Public Relations (MCPR) colleagues, the Lead Video Production Specialist utilizes their exceptional visual skills and filming knowledge to strategically plan, skillfully film, and creatively edit compelling video narratives for both internal and external audiences.

Filming on location across various regions will be a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engaging with internal teams to grasp project needs and objectives, translating them into impactful visual stories.
  • Overseeing the planning, filming, editing, posting, and archiving of high-quality video content that supports Stantec's branding efforts (including conducting interviews during filming).
  • Producing video content for platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
  • Utilizing a range of video sources, from professional on-location footage to online filming and self-shot smartphone videos, to achieve professional outcomes.
  • Understanding the business strategy and key MCPR goals that inform all video initiatives.
  • Creating high-impact videos that enhance audience engagement while boosting positive brand perception and awareness, adhering to visual identity standards.
  • Staying updated on trends and advancements in video production techniques.
Qualifications

Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience in videography and video editing, with a robust portfolio showcasing storytelling, cinematography, and post-production skills.
  • Strong creative vision and meticulous attention to detail, capable of transforming concepts into visually engaging content.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, AfterEffects, Audition, and Photoshop.
  • Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, M43 camera format.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with outstanding prioritization abilities.
  • Capacity to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aptitude for creating content that positively influences brand and business objectives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with creative professionals in a team setting, as well as work independently.
  • Experience with livestreaming is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Drone pilot certification is advantageous, but not required.
Education and Experience:
  • Post-secondary degree in film, media production, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in a videography position.

Compensation and Benefits:
