Staff Engineer Systems Architect

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer Systems Architect to join our team of qualified professionals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing interface documents, system requirements, and architectural documentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, and architectural documentation
- Provide mentoring to junior systems engineering team members to enhance skills in the department
- Work under the direction of the Global Architect Lead and interface with team members, C2BMC management, and government customers to ensure high-quality products are generated on time and within the resources available
- Act as a technical interface to MDA working-level counterparts on an as-required basis
- Conduct or lead Analysis of Alternatives, Trade Studies, and Design Evaluations
- Work under Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), including Operational Concept development
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university and 14 years of experience, or a Master's Degree and 12 years of experience, or 9 years of experience with a PhD
- Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions
- Must have experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g., specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.)
- Must have experience in developing large, complex software systems
- Able to write and implement engineering plans within a project
- Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time to support business needs
- Experience working within an Agile development environment
- Domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense
- Experience with Systems Analysis, Model Based System Engineering, Architecture development, Virtualization, Containerization, and Cloud Computing principles
- Familiarity with cyber, platform, and network architecture technologies, dependencies, and design drivers
