Staff Engineer Systems Architect – Global System

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer Systems Architect – Global System to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing interface documents, system requirements, and architectural documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review interface documents, system requirements, and architectural documentation.
- Support the development of large, complex software systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality products are generated on time and within resources.
- Provide mentoring to junior systems engineering team members.
- Work with the enterprise test architect to enable the system to sell off capabilities as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 14 years of experience, or a Master's Degree and 12 years of experience, or 9 years of experience with a PhD.
- Proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions.
- Experience developing system engineering artifacts, such as specifications, Interface Control Documents, and Use Cases.
- Experience in developing large, complex software systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.
- Able to write and implement engineering plans within a project.
- Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time to support business needs.
- Current active in-scope DoD issued Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within an Agile development environment.
- Domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense.
- Experience with Systems Analysis, Model Based System Engineering, Architecture development, Virtualization, Containerization, and Cloud Computing principles.
- Familiarity with cyber, platform, and network architecture technologies, dependencies, and design drivers.
