Job Overview

CHEP is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operator to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Warehouse Operator, you will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency of our warehouse operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are upheld within the warehouse.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing various bulk shipping containers.
Working Hours

1st shift - Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • Experience in cleaning and sanitation within a warehouse setting.
  • Comfort with cleaning equipment and machinery.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A solid understanding of safety regulations related to forklift operations.
  • The capability to lift containers weighing up to 50 lbs for a significant portion of the work shift.
Safety and Compliance

Responsibilities include:

  • Adhering to all safety protocols while operating machinery.
  • Maintaining awareness of pedestrian and vehicle traffic in the work area.
  • Wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) daily.
  • Reporting any safety hazards or concerns to supervisors immediately.
Cleaning and Sanitization Duties

Your tasks will involve:

  • Performing routine cleaning and sanitization of bulk shipping containers using a pressure washer, foamer, and sanitizing fog.
  • Utilizing food-grade chemicals mixed to the correct concentrations for cleaning.
Working Conditions

Be prepared to:

  • Work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and conditions while wearing PPE.
  • Work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as necessary.

Preferred Education and Experience

No degree is required, but a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
