Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Yard Rigger to assist our crane operator in the movement of precast panels, hardware, and other materials within our production process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Signal the crane operator during panel lifting and placement to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Utilize rigging devices for the transportation, storage, and shipping of precast panels, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Hook and unhook lifting cables, ring clutches, and spreader bars, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Guide the crane and maintain constant communication with the crane operator via two-way radio, ensuring seamless coordination and minimizing blind spots.
  • Place dunnage to store panels in racks or trailers for shipping to customers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, with a focus on maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Constant and continual standing and walking to and from all parts of the 60-acre worksite, with the ability to climb ladders, man-lifts, and scaffolding, and work at heights.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with a focus on medium to heavy manual, physical labor.
Working Conditions

This is an indoor/outdoor work environment, exposing the employee to various weather conditions, including sun, heat, humidity, cold, wind, light rain, sand, and dust.

The employee must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as laced up ankle steel toe laced up ankle work boots, hard hats, work gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
