General Description: Sandblast, Finish, and Acid Wash precast products to meet customer specifications for the final finish on precast panels and other structures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Effectively use the tools and equipment required for Finishing precast products
  • Effectively use the tools and equipment required for Sandblasting precast products
  • Effectively use the tools and equipment required for putting the finishing touches on precast products
  • Assist in inspecting for flaws or defects due to damage and or production defects
  • Assist and maintain equipment used by the Finishing and Patching department
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Have the ability to work as a part of a team and have good communication skills
  • Must remain alert to your surroundings at all times
  • Constant and continual standing and walking to and from all parts of 60 acre worksite
  • Maintains good housekeeping and follows the safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Ability to climb ladders, man-lifts and scaffolding. Work from height
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent, but not required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, twist, and walk, must be able to use various hand tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance on elevated surfaces; and stoop, kneel, squat, crouch or crawl. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Constant and continual medium to heavy manual, physical labor is required for this position.

Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as laced-up ankle steel toe work boots, hard hats, work gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection. This is an indoor/outdoor work environment: Exposure to sun, heat, humidity, cold, wind, light rain, sand, and dust.
