We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at ECHN. As a vital partner in providing quality patient care, you will be responsible for supporting healthcare providers in a fast-paced medical office environment.
About the Role
This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. You will work 40 hours a week, with opportunities for career growth within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:
- Greeting patients and preparing them for physician examination
- Documenting patient information and keeping charts current
- Providing oversight to vaccine programs and managing inventory of medical supplies
- Assisting physicians with office surgical procedures and performing EKGs and Spirometry as ordered
- Scheduling referrals and outside testing for patients as directed by physicians
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent, and one of the following: completed a Medical Assistant program, certification/registration as an MA, or 5+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
- Previous experience working in a medical facility is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements
