At ECHN, we are seeking a Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare provider team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Job Summary

The Medical Support Specialist will assist healthcare providers with various administrative and clinical duties, ensuring quality patient care and productivity. Key responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, documenting patient information, managing inventory, and assisting with medical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and prepare them for physician examination per established office protocol.
  • Keep patient information up-to-date and accurately documented in the medical record.
  • Ensure exam rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and prepared for the day.
  • Perform EKGs and Spirometry as ordered by physicians.
  • Report lab results to patients and schedule follow-up appointments as needed.
  • Prepare specimens and paperwork for testing as directed by physicians.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a medical facility or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • A strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
