Counselor - Level 6

New Season Treatment Centers is a leading national healthcare service provider of outpatient treatment centers specializing in providing safe, quality, and best-in-class care for individuals living with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD).

We operate in over 70 treatment centers across multiple states, offering medication-assisted treatment, counseling, support, and care management for individuals living with OUD. Our comprehensive approach addresses the underlying causes of OUD, providing a continuum of care that supports patients on their journey to recovery.

Job Summary:
  • New Season operates nationally recognized and accredited methadone treatment centers dedicated to helping individuals with prescription drug abuse and/or opiate addiction regain control of their lives.
  • We prioritize treating our patients with dignity and respect throughout each phase of their treatment experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with patients to complete intake, admission, discharge, and transfer paperwork.
  • Document patient progress through counseling and interaction in groups.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans within the required timeframe.
  • Identify clinical/case management needs and address them accordingly.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling as required.
  • Conduct direct one-on-one patient counseling weekly through individual or group counseling.
  • Report patient abuse, neglect, and exploitation as necessary.
  • Report patient grievances as required.
  • Educate patients on all aspects of treatment, corresponding health issues, and steps to recovery.
  • Obtain Urine Drug Screens and initial patient photo identification.
  • Assist in monitoring patient activities on center premises.
  • Participate in community relations activities as directed and authorized.
  • Ensure compliance with 42 CFR Part 2 (Federal Confidentiality Regulations) and 45 CFR, Parts 160 & 164 (HIPAA).
  • Maintain proper licensure and/or certification according to specific state requirements.
  • Participate in preparation for surveys and inspections conducted by CARF, the State, DEA, Board of Pharmacy, and any other agency site visits as dictated by state laws or regulations.
  • Attend all staff meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with local, State, Federal, and Colonial Management Group, LP rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Act in the best interests of the program and company, honoring, supporting, and protecting proprietary data and rights.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by clinic, region, or corporate leadership.
Requirements:
  • Education/Licensure/Certification:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Full license in the appropriate state (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LMHC).
  • Minimum of 500 hours of experience in substance abuse, preferred.
  • Skill and Ability:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be dependable and reliable.
  • Basic mathematics skills.
