Psychiatrist - Athabascan Behavioral Health Specialist

The Fairbanks Native Association is seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at the Athabascan Behavioral Health Clinic. As a key member of our collaborative treatment team, you will provide culturally specific programming and strength-based services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to diagnose mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure culturally resonant mental health intervention, treatment, and support services.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement and data-driven decision-making processes to assess program efficacy and drive quality improvement.
- Ensure adherence to data collection requirements and enter accurate and timely data into the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Medical Doctor or Doctor of Psychiatry degree.
- Current DEA license with the authority to prescribe and dispense legend drugs and schedule 2-5 controlled substances.
- State of Alaska Board certification or eligibility as a psychiatrist.
- Two years' experience in a behavioral health clinic or hospital providing services, with one year post-residency experience.
- Two years' experience serving American Indian or Alaska Native populations.
