Key Responsibilities
  • Teach plumbing courses to students in a variety of settings, including lecture and laboratory environments
  • Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students and industry partners
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in professional development activities to maintain currency in the field
  • Provide support to students, including academic advising and career guidance
Requirements
  • Diploma in Plumbing Technology from a regionally accredited institution
  • 5 years of relevant industry experience in plumbing
  • Teaching and/or industry training experience
  • Ability to adapt to changing procedures and protocols
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate of Applied Science degree in Plumbing Technology or related field from a regionally accredited institution
  • North Carolina Class 1 Plumbing License or the ability to attain it before hire
  • Experience with assessment of student learning outcomes
  • Experience with distance learning and/or alternate instructional delivery systems
