Dana Safety Supply is in search of dedicated Outside Salespersons to manage sales activities in their designated regions.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Outside Salesperson, you will oversee all elements of the sales cycle within your territory. This includes fostering and sustaining daily business relationships with existing clients while actively pursuing new customer connections.
Your clientele will primarily consist of law enforcement agencies, fire departments, EMS, and other public safety organizations.
It is essential to keep your knowledge of Dana Safety Supply's product offerings current while creating effective sales strategies for introducing new items. Regular sales visits to assigned clients in your territory are a must.
Proactively seek out leads, manage potential clients, and secure new business opportunities. Collaborate closely with management to ensure that growth objectives for your territory are achieved. Establish yourself as the primary contact for end-users.
Work in tandem with management to set, monitor, and reach sales targets. Stay informed about market trends and competitive activities, adjusting strategies as necessary. Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
Review customer orders for accuracy in pricing and content. Complete necessary reports and documentation promptly, adhering to company policies. Familiarize yourself with and utilize our computer systems effectively.
Participate in training sessions and sales meetings. Assist in the setup and breakdown of trade show displays.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of three years of experience in outside sales, preferably within the industry. Demonstrated exceptional customer service capabilities. Participation in trade shows and related sales events is expected. Willingness to travel extensively, with approximately 75% of your time spent visiting clients.
Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor. Possess comprehensive knowledge of our products and exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Work Hours:
A minimum of 40 hours per week is required, or as necessary to achieve sales objectives.
