Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Teller/New Accounts Representative. This role is ideal for those who are enthusiastic about delivering outstanding customer service and excel in a fast-paced environment, assisting clients with their financial transactions and inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Engagement: Welcome customers warmly, addressing them by name. Listen attentively to their requests, feedback, or concerns, and respond in accordance with established protocols.
  • Transaction Processing: Handle deposits, verify transaction amounts, review checks for proper endorsements, and ensure timely and accurate data entry into our systems.
  • Operational Efficiency: Process withdrawals, cash checks, and manage payments related to mortgages and consumer loans effectively.
  • Service Promotion: Educate customers about various financial products, including loans, insurance options, IRAs, CDs, and safe deposit services.
  • Account Setup: Guide customers through the process of opening new accounts, whether commercial or personal, and clarify the features and benefits of each option.
  • Detail Orientation: Maintain accuracy in cash handling, including counting and packaging currency and coins, while adhering to cash management policies.
  • Account Management: Reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each shift and ensure all account-related tasks are completed accurately.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must have a satisfactory personal credit history.
  • Preferred: At least one year of experience in a financial services environment.
