Job Summary

OSI Engineering is seeking a skilled Windows Desktop Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As an Onsite Support Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting endpoint IT infrastructure and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up workstations with computers and necessary peripheral devices.
  • Check computer hardware to ensure functionality.
  • Perform regular, proactive service implementing best practices and standards.
  • Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems.
  • Escalate service issues that cannot be completed within agreed-upon service levels.
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
  • Perform system configuration and patch management.
Requirements
  • Experience with Windows PC and some MAC operating systems deployment and administration concepts.
  • Ability to install and configure Windows OS & software and functions according to specifications.
  • 1+ years in the IT technology field.
  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to provide technical support and problem resolution for unfamiliar software and hardware.
  • Experience working in an agile environment and within a small team.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification as IandrT Technician will be an advantage (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional).
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs.

This is a contract position (12+ months) located in Westborough, MA (100% onsite).
