Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Epiroc USA LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving process innovation and continuous improvement across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a culture of sustainable change through process improvements
  • Champion and lead initiatives that integrate Lean/Sigma throughout the facility
  • Establish and champion the 5S process within the facility
  • Primary site contact for Stanley Production System Implementation
  • Assist in identifying and cross-leveraging best practices across the NA Operations team
  • Lead the implementation, coordination, and evaluation of continuous improvement actions
  • Responsible for coaching site leadership teams in achieving site KPIs
  • Support the integration of previously unconnected processes into extended value streams
  • Support the development and utilization of current and future state value stream maps
  • Work with internal/external suppliers and customers on improving the total enterprise
  • Support the identification of production requirements within the site
  • Ensure consistent application of CI methodology and standard work
  • Contribute to achieving productivity, inventory, quality, throughput, space, and safety objectives
  • Develop a training and education plan to ensure associates possess the knowledge and skill required to implement and maintain Lean/Sigma efforts
  • Commit to the Environmental Health and Safety Mission

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering - mechanical, industrial, or mechatronics
  • Lean Certification with a Six Sigma Green or Black Belt a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years engineer experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge in the use of Statistical Quality Control metrics
  • Proficiency in group and individual training techniques
  • Ability to develop valuable process maps
  • Ability to effectively present information to varying groups of managers, executives, or other groups of associates
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal skills
