About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Trane Technologies. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining work instructions and data in manufacturing systems to optimize the production of large HVAC equipment and subcomponents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage work instructions related to fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, wiring, and testing of products.
  • Manage and maintain data in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP), and other databases.
  • Develop and test new functions of the MES.
  • Analyze data from MES to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency.
  • Support new product development, productivity projects, and ETO/DTO by preparing and executing project implementation plans.
  • Participate in lean initiatives, including 5S, Rapid Improvement Events, and site KPIs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong MS Excel skills and experience with data management tools, such as SQL.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience interpreting technical procedures, drawings, and standard work.
  • ERP or MES/SCADA experience is a plus.
