Position Overview

The Environmental Compliance Analyst will support various business units in addressing customer inquiries related to environmental regulations.

This role entails collaboration with sales, marketing, clients, and suppliers to manage incoming compliance requests, compiling extensive data, performing data entry, and delivering required information to clients promptly.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the management of all environmental product compliance (EPC) inquiries concerning REACH, RoHS, WEEE, Proposition 65, Conflict Minerals, and other relevant regulations.
  • Exercise some degree of independent judgment in decision-making while regularly updating management on progress.
  • Provide regulatory guidance across various departments including regulatory affairs, product engineering, technical documentation, and operations.
  • Manage the environmental compliance process, including database management and supplier relations.
  • Develop and maintain business processes related to Environmental Product Compliance, including process maps and procedural documentation.
  • Clearly report observations and issues, taking appropriate corrective actions.
  • Exhibit advanced technical leadership skills within the department.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks, requirements, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate strong project management capabilities, including writing, coordination, and execution of compliance-related tasks, with a focus on technical activities.
  • Plan, execute, and assess assignments, reviewing progress and evaluating outcomes.
  • Review and analyze environmental standards and regulations.
  • Conduct assessments to identify gaps in compliance with new and existing standards.
  • Ensure all new products are evaluated for potential environmental risks and recommend necessary improvements during the design phase.
  • Provide insights and direction to management and potentially to executive leadership.
  • Assist in the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support the formulation and revision of strategies in response to regulatory changes.
  • Demonstrate the ability to investigate and assess updates and new regulations.
  • Communicate environmental requirements and internal processes effectively.
  • Provide regulatory insights and follow-up for inspections and audits.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of SOPs and systems to monitor and manage product-related events.
Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental, regulatory, engineering, or inventory management roles.
  • Experience in the wire & cable, network security, or utility sectors is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a legal, technical, or regulated environment is essential.
  • Exceptional analytical and writing abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
