Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Scheduler to join our team at Lifeport, Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and controlling production schedules to ensure a smooth flow of materials and meet production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with functional departments to schedule finished goods and intermediate products within the Master Scheduling time horizon
  • Partner with Production and Purchasing to maintain Manufacturing Lead Times, Standard Hours, and Purchasing Lead Times
  • Lead project kick-off meetings to align functional groups with released sales orders and identify additional risks
  • Coordinate with Production Control and Stores to direct the timely release of work orders and delivery of kits to the shop floor
  • Ensure Master Planning Schedule supports the current production delivery schedule
  • Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data
  • Communicate priorities for processing workflow through receiving, inspection, stores, or other departments to ensure timely delivery
  • Analyze impact of non-conforming materials to determine the appropriate action plan and ensure internal departments follow up as required
  • Communicate changes in the production schedule to align Value Stream revenue recognition
  • Identify product and build flow improvements to eliminate non-value added operations
  • Responsible for ensuring the master plan for procurement of raw materials and production of finished goods and intermediates is adhered to in alignment with established supply/demand plans and customer service levels
  • Provide Make/Buy analysis on manufactured parts
  • Record data on Forecast vs. Actual results (department metrics)
  • Competent in all aspects of work responsibilities of Production Control
  • Create standard production work orders
  • Re-Schedule WOs as required
  • Create Bills of Material, modify Item Cards, and process ECO changes as required
  • Develop routing operations for guidance of production technicians

Requirements:

  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask
  • Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork skills and high degree of initiative required
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal
  • Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Must be proficient with MS Suite (Project, Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with ERP/MRP software

Education, Certifications, and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • AA/AS degree or other post-high school training
  • 1-2 years related experience

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Working conditions are normal for that of a manufacturing/machine shop/office environment. All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.
