About the Role

Summit Credit Union is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a Contact Center Lender. As a key member of our contact center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our members, helping them achieve their financial goals, and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loan Processing and Underwriting
    • Prepare and review loan documents for contact center loans, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    • Verify loan details with members and work with them to determine the best loan options.
    • Manage the DocuSign process for contact center loans and ensure timely loan decisions.
    • Process DMV requests and manage insurance verification for contact center loans.
  • Queue Management and Outbound Calls
    • Conduct loan interviews and complete loan applications for applicants.
    • Makes outbound calls to applicants whose loans are in pending queue to bring more loans to a closed status.
  • Member Relationship Building
    • Assist new and existing members in meeting their financial goals by building and maintaining beneficial member relationships.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and support to members, addressing their financial needs and concerns.
  • Ownership and Accountability
    • Takes ownership of customer situations, corporate goals, and call center objectives.
    • Works collaboratively with the team to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Associate degree in a business-related field, with an emphasis in finance or banking preferred.
  • Two years of consumer lending experience, with a combination of experience in public contact/customer service, call center, and loan underwriting.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to hear, assimilate, and solve problems quickly, using a customer service approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to build loyal customer relationships through effective use of sales, service recovery, interpersonal skills, and customer referrals.
  • Working knowledge of commonly accepted principles of lending.
  • Excellent organizational skills and work habits.
  • Knowledge of current Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations as they pertain to the granting of credit.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently exercise sound judgment in credit granting decisions.
  • Customer service and sales knowledge and skills applicable to both the lending and retail financial setting.
  • Multi-task abilities.
  • Ability to obtain an NMLS number.
