Position Overview

We are on the lookout for a skilled professional to join our Engineering division, taking a crucial role in the evolution of our advanced Palette platform.

We are currently in need of a Senior Automation Engineer to spearhead our quality assurance initiatives and play a key role in the creation and management of automated testing for our premier Kubernetes management solution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and mentor a team of QA Engineers, promoting a collaborative and supportive work culture.
  • Design and implement automated testing strategies for the core functionalities of our distributed platform, ensuring exceptional quality and dependability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance testing strategies and foster continuous improvement.
  • Develop and uphold high-quality test cases for new features and improvements, ensuring thorough test coverage.
  • Utilize your extensive experience to create automation tests for both API and UI components.
  • Exhibit proficiency in Linux-based systems and provide expertise in troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Employ hands-on experience with cloud technologies, containers, and Kubernetes (K8s) to refine testing methodologies.
  • Preferred: Lead the development of automation tests using the Robot Automation Framework or Golang-based testing frameworks like Ginkgo/Go-dog.
  • Advocate for best practices and methodologies in testing to uphold high quality standards.
  • Collaborate with management to establish strategic objectives for the automation team and monitor progress towards these goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in IT, demonstrating deep expertise in automation and quality assurance.
  • Proven experience in successfully leading and managing a team of QA Engineers.
  • Extensive background in developing automation tests for both API and UI (essential).
  • Proficiency in Linux-based operating systems (essential).
  • Strong capability to create and maintain high-quality test cases for new features.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with cloud technologies, containers, and Kubernetes (K8s) (essential).
  • Preferred: Proficiency in leading the development of automation tests using the Robot Automation Framework or Golang-based testing frameworks like Ginkgo/Go-dog.
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies, along with troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Preferred: CKA or CKAD certification.
  • Must be a US citizen.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in GoLang or Python programming.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting and achieving strategic goals for automation teams.

The interview process for Senior Test Engineer roles typically includes three to four stages:

  • Initial screening interview
  • One or two technical interviews, including hands-on coding assessments
  • Final round to assess team fit and engage in detailed discussions

Most of our interviews are conducted via video conferencing. We recommend having a laptop with a reliable internet connection, and if possible, a functional camera for a more engaging experience.
