Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our Engineering team, significantly contributing to the evolution of our advanced Palette platform.

The role involves leading our quality assurance efforts as a Senior Automation Engineer, focusing on the management and development of automated testing for our premier Kubernetes management solution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and mentor a team of QA Engineers, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Design and implement automated tests for the core functionalities of our distributed platform, ensuring top-notch quality and reliability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance testing strategies and promote continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test cases for new features and enhancements, ensuring thorough test coverage.
  • Utilize your extensive experience to create automation tests for both API and UI components.
  • Exhibit proficiency in Linux-based operating systems, providing expertise in troubleshooting and debugging.
  • Apply hands-on experience with cloud technologies, containers, and Kubernetes (K8s) to refine testing processes.
  • Preferred: Lead the development of automation tests using the Robot Automation Framework or Golang-based frameworks like Ginkgo/Go-dog.
  • Promote best practices and methodologies in testing to uphold high quality standards.
  • Collaborate with management to establish strategic objectives for the automation team and monitor progress.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in IT, demonstrating deep expertise in automation and quality assurance.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of QA Engineers.
  • Extensive background in developing automation tests for both API and UI.
  • Proficiency in Linux-based operating systems.
  • Strong capability to create and maintain high-quality test cases for new features.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, containers, and Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Preferred: Experience in leading the development of automation tests using the Robot Automation Framework or Golang-based frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of testing methodologies, with strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Preferred: CKA or CKAD certification.
  • Must be a US citizen.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in GoLang or Python programming.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting and achieving strategic goals for automation teams.
