Position Overview:
Under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), the Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant will engage in providing direct instructional support to students eligible for speech and language services in accordance with the MN Special Education Speech Criteria. This role is integral to the educational team, collaborating with the supervising SLP, school personnel, and the Special Education team to enhance student outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct and indirect speech/language therapy services as outlined in each student’s Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
- Collaborate with the SLP to modify classroom environments, tools, and materials to foster improved communication skills among students.
- Regularly meet with the supervising SLP to synchronize service delivery, maintain accurate documentation, and develop therapeutic materials for interventions.

Service Delivery:
- Implement direct services targeting specific speech and language goals as defined in student IEPs.
- Design lesson plans, prepare instructional materials, and create visual aids for speech services.
- Document student progress through reports, IEP updates, and recommendations for skill development.

Additional Duties:
- Assist in the transition of skills into general education settings.
- Conduct articulation screenings and manage scheduling for student sessions.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree from an accredited speech-language pathology assistant program or a Bachelor's degree in communication sciences or disorders with relevant coursework and supervised fieldwork experience.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
- Proficient in technology and computer applications.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with students and staff, receiving constructive feedback while fostering positive relationships.
- Ability to travel between multiple school locations as required and lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
- Regular attendance and physical presence in the workplace are essential.
- Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant is preferred.

Job Types: Contract, Part-time, Full-time
Compensation: Starting at $25.75 per hour
Benefits: Includes dental and health insurance, paid time off.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday
