Summary: Responsible for receiving merchandise, processing transactions, accepting payments, and providing change to customers in a retail environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Restocks shelves, counters, and tables with products.
  • Creates promotional displays and organizes merchandise to enhance sales.
  • Labels items with prices.
  • Obtains requested items or assists customers in selecting products.
  • Addresses customer inquiries regarding product location, pricing, and usage.
  • Engages with customers and resolves complaints in a courteous, service-oriented manner.
  • Packs and bags purchased items.
  • Calculates total merchandise price and applicable taxes to determine final bill.
  • Processes payments and provides change.
  • Records cash amounts in the register at the end of the shift.
  • Maintains sales records, prepares inventory, and orders stock.
  • Adheres to sanitation, ServSafe, and safety standards.
  • Ensures a clean and safe work environment; performs tasks safely.
  • Completes other assigned duties.
