This role is tasked with overseeing the investigation and resolution of patient and family grievances that cannot be settled at the point of care. It is essential that all grievances are managed in accordance with regulatory standards. Furthermore, this position advocates for patients by informing them about their involvement in care and the processes for reporting safety or care concerns.

Additionally, the Program Manager is responsible for facilitating performance improvement initiatives and patient safety programs, contributing to ongoing enhancements in the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care across the organization. Monitoring and coordinating responses to regulatory compliance issues related to performance improvement and patient safety is also a key responsibility.

Facility Overview:

The healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center that offers a wide range of specialized services, including surgical care, intensive care, women's health, and cardiovascular services, among others. The campus is equipped with advanced imaging facilities and supports various medical training programs.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent qualification in a healthcare-related field.
  • Proficient in various software applications, including Windows, Internet, E-mail, Meditech, Microsoft Word, and others. Strong computer skills are necessary for processing patient concerns and maintaining documentation.
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as fax machines and copiers.
  • Ability to navigate the complexities of the healthcare environment, demonstrating organizational skills to manage multiple detailed tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on diplomatic problem-solving across departments.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively to meet the needs of patients and families, identifying issues and implementing customer service solutions while maintaining confidentiality.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on patient interaction and problem resolution.
  • Valid Texas nursing license required, if applicable.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Must obtain a Notary Public Commission in the State of Texas within 60 days of hire to provide necessary services.
