ROLE OVERVIEW
In the role of a licensed financial consultant, you will play a crucial part in providing T. Rowe Price-supported retirement strategies and insights that significantly enhance the financial well-being of our clients. You will be an integral member of a sales team focused on high-value sales and asset retention, contributing to our overall growth objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough consultations with clients via phone, as part of a dedicated sales team model for high-value retirement plan participants.
- Employing a consultative approach to effectively position products and services related to retirement planning during significant life events.
- Gaining a comprehensive understanding of clients' financial portfolios, objectives, and historical data to guide them towards appropriate next steps.
- Retaining assets through educational support and guidance on available plan-specific and general distribution options.
- Acquiring new assets through ongoing follow-up consultations.
- Proactively managing client communications to coordinate next steps and implement decisions.
- Maintaining a robust pipeline of opportunities to nurture client relationships and serve as a consistent point of contact.
- Achieving defined retention and sales targets while fulfilling other role-specific responsibilities.
- Developing and sustaining in-depth knowledge of T. Rowe Price funds, products, and services.
- Thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment that requires adaptability.
- Addressing client inquiries and resolving issues efficiently, collaborating with back-office teams as necessary.
- Participating in training sessions and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in inbound and/or phone-based sales.
- Possession of FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
- 3+ years of related experience in inbound and/or phone-based sales.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, and/or Synergy.
- Strong understanding of Retirement Investment Products and qualified retirement plans.
- Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC) certification (to be obtained within 180 days of hire).
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
This position offers the possibility of remote work up to two days a week following successful completion of the training program.
