Compensation Overview
Hourly Rate: $23.75 (Determined by relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

Position Overview

As a Financial Services Representative, you will be engaging, goal-driven, and passionate about enhancing our customers' financial well-being. This role offers valuable insights into the banking sector while assisting clients with their everyday financial needs. Financial Services Representatives serve as the primary representatives of the Commerce Bank brand. In this customer-facing role, you will build and nurture enduring relationships not only with clients but also with colleagues and various departments within Commerce. Your mission will be to identify each customer's financial requirements and offer tailored solutions.

In this role, you will:
  • Receive comprehensive training and resources to excel in your position and advance your career with Commerce Bank.
  • Provide exceptional customer service both in-person and via phone to meet clients' financial needs.
  • Listen attentively to customers to make suitable recommendations that align with their requirements.
  • Educate clients on a range of retail products and digital solutions that enhance their financial wellness.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient completion of financial transactions while adhering to all policies and regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and refer clients to specialists for complex financial needs.
  • Have the potential to earn beyond your base salary through our performance-based incentive program.
Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients both in-person and over the phone to ensure their financial needs are met through consultative conversations and sales fulfillment.
  • Actively listen and provide recommendations for products and services based on customer needs to achieve individual and team sales goals.
  • Educate clients on various retail products and digital solutions that enhance their experience and contribute to sales objectives.
  • Complete financial transactions accurately and efficiently while complying with all relevant policies and regulations.
  • Identify complex financial needs and refer clients to appropriate specialists when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong sales acumen with the ability to deliver an outstanding customer experience by connecting with clients both in-person and over the phone.
  • Ability to meet personal and branch sales and customer service expectations.
  • Self-motivated and organized individual with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Team-oriented with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Adaptable to various situations with a positive attitude that aligns with our culture and core values.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 1+ years of sales or customer service experience required.
  • Experience in an environment with individual and team sales goals preferred.
