Key Responsibilities

  • Recognizes essential business factors, formulates perspectives, evaluates scenarios, and devises strategies along with implementation plans.
  • Contributes to the creation of cash flow models and internal return assessments for capital initiatives and commercial agreements.
  • Supports significant commercial projects, assists in data analysis, and generates clear communications for commercial leadership.
  • Prepares materials for executive leadership and capital approval committees.
  • Provides assistance to colleagues within the department as required for financial analyses, reports, and systems.
  • Undertakes special assignments or tasks as designated by their supervisor at their discretion.

Required Experience

A minimum of three to eight years of relevant experience in petroleum markets is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP is preferred.

Educational Background

A Bachelor's Degree is required, ideally in economics, accounting, or finance.

Essential Skills

A fundamental understanding of the crude oil value chain and key refining processes is necessary. The candidate should be detail-oriented with a strong proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. The ability to perform intermediate-level mathematical calculations is required. A self-starter who can think critically and communicate effectively is essential.

Supervisory Responsibilities

May be expected to provide guidance to entry-level financial analysts.

Work Environment

Primarily office-based with travel requirements of up to 10% by land and air, including occasional visits to refinery environments. The role may involve varying road and weather conditions.
