Social Services Specialist for MSS

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly skilled Social Services Specialist to join our Maternity Support Services Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
The Social Services Specialist will conduct initial screenings, provide comprehensive integrated clinical psychosocial assessments, and develop intervention plans to support clients. They will also provide brief treatment, transition services, and consult with the interdisciplinary Maternity Support Services team.
This is a full-time position, and the productivity expectation is 20 or more client encounters per week. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and current certification as a counselor or chemical dependency counselor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial screenings and provide comprehensive integrated clinical psychosocial assessments
- Develop intervention plans to support clients
- Provide brief treatment and transition services
- Consult with the interdisciplinary Maternity Support Services team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Current certification as a counselor or chemical dependency counselor
- Experience working with underserved populations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
