Purchasing Coordinator Job Description

Croda is seeking a skilled Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. As a Purchasing Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials, packaging, and consumables for our production sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and schedule material purchase orders using SAP stock requirements lists generated from MR.
  • Coordinate with site production planners and supply chain managers to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Work closely with procurement managers to understand supply strategy and negotiate with vendors to meet production requirements.
  • Ensure that raw materials, packaging, and consumables are ordered and received in a timely manner, taking into account lead times, safety stocks, and logistical constraints.
  • Coordinate deliveries of carriers, rail cars, and trucks to meet plant schedules.
  • Order consumable materials as needed for the site and ensure they meet all applicable Croda purchase and regulatory specifications.
Requirements:
  • BS or BA degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Knowledge of UCC law and SAP highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and have excellent planning and organization skills.
