Benefits Coordinator

We are working with a reputable client in Miami on the search for a Benefits Analyst. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter individual, with experience in benefits administration and the desire to grow with the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on benefits policies, procedures, and initiatives to staff and management.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Workers Compensation, Family Medical Leave Act, and the Affordable Care Act.
- Manage the daily operations of benefit programs for employees, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to inform employees about their benefits and encourage participation in programs.
- Assist in the creation, execution, and management of employee benefit programs that are competitive, cost-effective, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Collect and evaluate data regarding employee benefit plans, including usage, costs, and participation rates.
- Manage the ACA administration and reporting process.
- Manage the Worker's compensation claims administration.
- Manage the OSHA reporting process.
- Manage the FMLA, Leave of Absence, ADA, STD, LTD claims administration.
- Support Open Enrollment by helping with webinar planning, benefits portal implementation, and enrollment administration.
- Assist with the creation of EDI connections and oversee the weekly vendor connection.
- Handle employee enrollments for new hires and life events, audit enrollments and billing, and respond to employee questions.
- Oversee the quarterly bill reconciliation and monthly vendor invoicing.
- Oversee the funding of FSA and HSA plans, 401k changes, and loans, and quarterly reconciliation of 401k, FSA, and HSA plans.
- Assist with staff benefits such as Tuition reimbursement and employee referral programs.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to inform employees about their benefits and encourage participation in programs.
- Participate in annual audits.
- Assist with due diligence, benefits census creation, and reports.
- Oversee the wellness initiative for employees, including planning events and overseeing the wellness budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least five years of experience in human resources, preferably in benefits administration.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus.
