Job Summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and testing modular sortation systems according to detailed specifications and blueprints. This role involves working with mechanical components, electrical systems, and software interfaces to ensure that the ModSort systems are built to high standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components of the ModSort systems according to detailed work instructions, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Use wire termination and component layout tools to assemble control panels and other components.
  • Conduct testing of assembled systems to verify functionality and accuracy.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure that all products meet quality standards before they are delivered.
  • Identify and resolve any issues during the assembly process, including mechanical, electrical, or software-related problems.
  • Maintain accurate records of the assembly process, including parts used, modifications made, and any issues encountered.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working order and report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during the assembly process, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tagout procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in a related field (e.g., Mechanical Assembly, Electrical Technology) preferred.
  • Experience with sortation systems or automation equipment is a plus.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to perform precise assembly work with attention to detail, ensuring that all components are correctly installed and functioning.
  • Capable of identifying and resolving issues that arise during the assembly process.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Must be flexible, highly motivated, organized, and show attention to details.
  • Excellent work ethic.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Hand-eye coordination.
  • Familiarity with basic tools.
  • Able to recommend, advise, and execute improvements to the production process (techniques, tools, panel layout, materials, etc.).
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions (e.g., hot, cold, noisy).
