Position Overview:

The Construction Project Coordinator (CPC) plays a crucial role in overseeing all on-site project administration and managing the office engineers and jobsite administrator.

The CPC is directly accountable for project financials, scheduling, personnel supervision, and ensuring the successful completion of project objectives.

This role demands exceptional attention to detail and adeptness in utilizing project management tools and software.

A Construction Project Coordinator collaborates with stakeholders at all levels and is tasked with negotiating with owners, suppliers, and trade partners to resolve disputes and manage changes effectively.


Qualifications:
  • A four-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
  • 2-4 years of experience in large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Prolog, Primavera, and AutoDesk Suite.

Preferred Experience:
  • Previous internships within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the project manager and superintendents by gathering necessary data and preparing monthly owner pay applications.
  • Identify and resolve interface conflicts between the company and trade partners, as well as among trade partners.
  • Assist field supervisors with the interpretation of drawings, specifications, RFIs, and inquiries from architects/engineers.
  • Develop and manage cost control and labor recap in collaboration with the project manager and superintendent.
  • Process and evaluate all potential change orders and requests for information.
  • Contribute to the development and management of the project schedule.
  • Assist with engineering details and specialized design tasks.
  • Monitor and report on project progress.
  • Support production analysis studies.
  • Oversee the timely acquisition of materials and equipment, including field-initiated purchasing.
  • Facilitate weekly owner/architect/contractor meetings and maintain meeting records.
  • Assist in monthly margin analysis.
  • Update and maintain project records utilizing the Book of 14.
  • Participate in jobsite safety meetings and conduct weekly safety audits.
  • Implement the quality control plan and engage in preparatory meetings and inspections.
  • Assist in interpreting BIM and VDC specifications.
  • Manage, train, and mentor office engineers and the jobsite administrator.
