Lead Electrical Engineer for Avionics Systems

As a key member of the avionics engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in defining the architecture of an innovative autonomous satellite formation. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams including flight software, spacecraft operations, mechanical engineering, radar, and RF engineering to create state-of-the-art hardware, advancing from initial concepts to full operational deployment in space.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct system-level and module-level designs to support a cutting-edge multi-functional distributed satellite constellation.
- Collaborate closely with flight software, guidance, navigation, and control (GNC), mechanical, and spacecraft operations teams to design and validate avionics electronics.
- Develop circuit designs and simulations to evaluate system performance.
- Design electronics capable of withstanding orbital environments.
- Create spacecraft hardware requirements, specifications, and testing protocols.
- Assist in flight software integration and validation by formulating and executing hardware testing plans.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in electronics design, fabrication, and testing.
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Ability to learn new concepts quickly and independently.
- High levels of self-motivation and accountability.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in electronics design for mission-critical or space-flight applications.
- Experience in designing avionics or flight-control systems for a minimum of 2 years.
- Experience in dynamic/startup environments for at least 2 years.
- Proficiency in the design, integration, and testing of avionics and flight-control systems.
- Experience in designing spacecraft electronics.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems and programming languages.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative role.
- Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting with laboratory testing equipment.
