Job Summary

The Crane Operator is a key member of our team at DIR Holdings LLC, responsible for providing lifting and hoisting services to our clients. This role requires a high level of expertise in crane setup, pre-operation inspection, rigging, and crane operation.

Responsibilities:
  • Crane Setup and Operation: Assemble and install supporting structures, rigging, hoist, and pulling gear to ensure safe and efficient lifting operations.
  • Rigging and Hoisting: Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare for moving using hand and power tools, and connect pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures with bolts, shackles, and clamps.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and dress machine and surfaces of parts, and dismantle, maintain, and store rigging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Load Management: Manipulate rigging lines and hoist to move or support materials, steel, concrete, etc., and select gear, shackles, and cables according to load size, facilities, and work schedule.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise and train team members on safety procedures and best practices, and complete ProLift Specific, Regulatory, and Identified Equipment training through our internal LMS system.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Certifications: CDL – CLASS A or B required, OSHA 10 - preferred, NCCCO Rigger a plus, TWIC-preferred
  • Skills: Communication skills, reasoning ability, safety awareness, and willingness to travel
