The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and compliance within the warehouse. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with the Logistics Supervisor and team.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain safety as the top priority for all duties and tasks, participating in company safety programs and assisting with incident investigations as needed.
- Pass and maintain powered equipment certification, adhering to safety protocols, inspections, training, and recertification.
- Utilize SAP transactions with 100% compliance throughout the warehouse and production movement process.
- Communicate effectively with the Logistics Supervisor regarding approvals and inventory deviations, with some documented reporting required.
- Continuously review count findings, formulate improvements, and submit to the Logistics Supervisor for approval of actions.
- Identify and report any defects, whether inbound or within the movement process, immediately to the Logistics Supervisor and Logistics Team Lead.
- Read, understand, and follow all policies within the training program and employee handbook.
- Report any safety violations to the supervisor or team lead immediately.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean workspace.
- Maintain compliance of all monthly and annual training.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 or more years in a warehousing/logistics role in inventory control.
- Associate degree or higher post-secondary education preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years in a warehousing/logistics role with a focus on inventory control preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of SAP cycle counting process preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Ability to communicate well through written and verbal methods.
- Interpersonal skills that promote collaboration within multiple workstreams.
- Ability to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.
Duties are performed in a warehouse environment using industrial forklifts or other material movement equipment. The incumbent must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 75 lbs. occasionally. Standing for the entire shift is required, with some overtime possible depending on division needs.
