Job Description: We are seeking an experienced pharmacy technician to join our team at Liberty Regional Medical Center in Hinesville, GA on an as-needed basis (PRN). The ideal candidate is someone who works well in a team environment, is detail-oriented, and willing to assist where necessary.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
* Assists the pharmacist in providing medication, drug information, and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel
* Receives and stores incoming deliveries of medication and supplies
* Demonstrates an ability to calculate figures and amounts relating to dosage calculations when filling various prescriptions ranging from the newborn to the elderly populations
* Maintains inventory of supplies in pharmacy and other departments and reorders them accordingly
* Answers the phone and communicates effectively with hospital staff as directed by the pharmacist
* Performs tasks related to sterile compounding, including but not limited to clean room training, cleaning, and maintaining the space
* Prepares and delivers medications to designated locations based on end-user need
* Maintains stock in the automated dispensing cabinet
Position Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Current pharmacy technician licensure in the applicable state(s)
* All experience levels considered
Schedule Details:
* 16-20 hours/week
* Weekdays and Weekends 7am-3:30pm or 8:30am-5pm, shifts may vary
