Job Overview:

Deliver exceptional and friendly service to every patron who visits the bar while crafting and serving beverages for guests and beverage attendants, ensuring strict adherence to all relevant laws and regulations regarding the safe and responsible sale and service of alcoholic drinks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Tribal, Federal, and other laws, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
  • Uphold the highest standards of guest service by attentively listening and responding to guest and team member inquiries and concerns.
  • Maintain a steady flow of service to guests, cocktail attendants, and food servers.
  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival, using their names during interactions and remembering their preferences. Thank guests, bid farewell, and encourage their return.
  • Efficiently and accurately prepare beverages to specifications while utilizing approved measuring tools and techniques.
  • Accurately process all sales transactions and present receipts for credit card transactions or upon guest request.
  • Continuously oversee the bar area to ensure timely beverage service for all guests.
  • Adhere to laws, policies, and procedures regarding the service and sale of alcoholic beverages. Verify the age of any guest who appears to be under thirty (30) years old. Ensure responsible service of alcoholic beverages in accordance with established standards.
  • Monitor guest behavior and cues to prevent intoxication and disorderly conduct.
  • Address guest issues promptly and professionally, communicating problems and concerns to management.
  • Maintain knowledge of and provide guests with information about menus, promotions, programs, and various gaming options.
  • Keep a clean, sanitized, and organized work environment in line with health and safety standards. Ensure the bar top is clean and free of glassware and debris, and that ashtrays are clean and properly placed. Follow sanitation procedures at all times.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment as required.
  • Operate and maintain all equipment and utensils according to established guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Restock service wells, set up and dismantle service areas, and receive all products and stock according to specifications.
  • Maintain a professional and tidy appearance at all times.
  • Exhibit a courteous and friendly demeanor towards all team members and guests.
  • Fulfill bar back responsibilities in the absence of a bar-back.
  • Accurately record all sales in the POS system and collect payments for all products sold.
  • Submit all financial receipts for end-of-shift reports.
  • Demonstrate and promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.
  • Manage and safeguard confidential information entrusted to this position.
  • Complete all required training as assigned.
  • Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements and property-established Anti-Money Laundering policies.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must obtain and maintain current TABC certification.
  • Bartender Certification or a minimum of one (1) year of bartending experience preferred.
  • Must understand and accept the risks associated with this position.
  • In-depth knowledge of wine and alcoholic beverage preparation preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral. Proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
Additional Criteria:

Preference is given to qualified Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas Members and qualified Native Americans.

Physical Requirements:

Work Environment:
  • Casino floor and standard office setting.
  • Frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment with regular public interaction.
  • Temperature-controlled environment with varying noise levels, potentially high noise levels throughout the day.
  • Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must perform under pressure and work long hours in stressful conditions.
  • May encounter risks associated with resolving issues with difficult guests and irate staff members.
  • Exposure to various lighting types, including artificial fluorescent lights and flashing lights.
  • Travel may be necessary to fulfill essential job functions.
Employment Conditions:
  • Must obtain and retain a KTTT Gaming Commission License, including successful completion of a background check.
  • Must provide authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reliable transportation to commute to and from work is required.
  • Must comply with internal policies and gaming regulations.
  • Participation in the tip reporting program is mandatory.
