Key Responsibilities

  • Manage legal services across Prisma Health, working with individual attorneys to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Oversee legal activities related to major contracts, transactions, regulatory compliance, and labor and employment issues.
  • Serve as the principal legal advisor on mergers and acquisitions and other transactional matters.
  • Supervise litigation involving Prisma Health or its affiliates.
  • Assist in the development of plans to align and integrate legal services throughout Prisma Health.
  • Participate as a senior member of management, working directly with the corporate executive team to understand strategic initiatives and business needs.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited school of law.
  • 8 years of in-house counsel experience in healthcare.
  • License to practice law in the state of South Carolina.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of and experience with regulatory and compliance statutes.
  • Experience working with governing bodies in developing, reviewing, and modifying corporate bylaws.
  • Proven ability to lead in a complex environment.
