Position Overview:
The Senior Professional Affairs Manager will be instrumental in formulating and implementing strategic initiatives aimed at fostering robust relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), key accounts, educational institutions, and professional organizations, in alignment with the Bausch + Lomb Pharmaceutical division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute KOL strategies to enhance and solidify productive partnerships across the Bausch + Lomb Prescription Portfolio.
- Coordinate advisory panels in collaboration with Directors and Brand Leads to extract valuable insights that will inform future marketing strategies and tactics.
- Cultivate strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), industry associations, key accounts, and educational institutions.
- Provide comprehensive product information and serve as an authority on Bausch + Lomb's core pharmaceutical brands, policies, and business regulations.
- Act as the commercial lead for orchestrating all KOL and Brand activities at major ophthalmology and optometry conferences.
- Collaborate within the Professional Affairs team and Brand Leads to oversee and monitor all promotional speaker program engagements.
- Encourage HCP participation in educational events through various promotional avenues.
- Organize and conduct both in-person and virtual business meetings with clients to meet business objectives.
- Identify and achieve strategic goals that enhance Bausch + Lomb's standing within key KOL communities.
- Establish and maintain relationships with designated academic institutions to support Bausch + Lomb's business aims.
- Provide cross-functional assistance with KOL, key account, society, and academic initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales and/or marketing, with a preference for ophthalmic and pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Demonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilities.
- Ability to thrive in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
- Proven capability to independently execute significant projects.
- Strong skills in KOL development, relationship management, project planning, and execution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in data analytics and interpretation.
- Goal-oriented, self-driven, and a collaborative team player.
- Adaptability to a dynamic and fast-paced business landscape.
- Willingness to travel domestically, with the ability to travel overnight 35-50% of the time, including weekends.
Compensation:
As per New York City's salary transparency regulations, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range for roles performed in New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by various factors, including skill set, experience level, and specific office location.
