ROLE OVERVIEW:


The Lead Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving and supporting the development of products, processes, materials, and equipment to meet production and development objectives.

This role involves the creation of manufacturing processes that facilitate innovative enhancements. The engineer collaborates across departments to validate processes and transition new products into production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee and assist in the development and validation of processes across various manufacturing lines.


Design, develop, test, and implement manufacturing process systems to ensure efficient production workflows, human factors, quality assurance, and material logistics.


Develop and propose enhancements for manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems utilizing engineering principles, industry standards, and practical design to fulfill production demands, performance metrics, quality benchmarks, and safety regulations.


Utilize six sigma methodologies and scientific statistical techniques to conduct root cause analysis and correlation studies, identifying and formulating corrective measures for product and process failures.

Facilitate the transition of new products into manufacturing, including support for research and development builds.

Generate, update, and maintain manufacturing documentation that adheres to compliance standards.

Engage with suppliers and key vendors on technical matters.

Support manufacturing engineering initiatives to achieve production targets, including addressing non-conformances and line challenges.

Perform additional duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Industrial Engineering is preferred.

Extensive knowledge of SolidWorks with experience in creating manufacturing fixtures, tooling, and equipment models.

A minimum of 7 years of experience in the medical device sector and electro-mechanical device manufacturing is preferred.

Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma tools and proficiency in statistical methodologies gained through formal education and/or practical experience.

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities against tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.

Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose issues and propose solutions.

Experience with adhesives and electronics is preferred, along with a background in medical device disposables and capital equipment being advantageous.

The salary for this exempt-level position will be determined based on experience and qualifications within a defined pay range.

Salary range:
$135,000 - $165,000 + Annual Bonus
