Position OverviewTE Connectivity's Manufacturing Engineering Teams serve as process authorities for stamping, molding, or assembly-related matters, ensuring that operations are conducted at optimal levels for quality and output. They possess expertise in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly methodologies, with extensive knowledge of the relevant manufacturing processes, which may include the enhancement and standardization of stamping, molding, assembly, or other procedures within the manufacturing landscape. The Manufacturing Engineering Teams empower TE business unit facilities to achieve TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) standards, implement Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP's), and provide guidance to facilities on tool and machine duplications, corrections, and enhancements. They are responsible for designing and developing manufacturing processes and automation systems, applying them for the realization of new product developments as well as the optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also assist Product Development in selecting and optimizing tools for piece part production and determining the most suitable manufacturing concepts based on planned production volumes, quality standards, and manufacturing locations. They act as a liaison between engineering and production to ensure the manufacturability of new designs and facilitate smooth production ramp-up, while also supporting research and development teams in producing sample manufacturing equipment, product samples, and prototypes.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Manufacturing Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring that high-quality products are manufactured safely and efficiently. This highly skilled individual is tasked with leveraging their knowledge, skills, and experience to manage a variety of responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities:
• Enhance and improve tooling
• Review technical drawings
• Conduct daily assessments of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Ensure that the processes managed by the manufacturing team operate at designed efficiencies.
• Drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost through the application of TEOA tools and principles.
• Collaborate closely with the launch organization on the introduction of new products.
• Maintain effective communication with all relevant stakeholders to complete projects within timelines and budgets.
• Evaluate all projects for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Lead and support troubleshooting efforts for equipment issues, working efficiently and independently with various suppliers globally.
• Maintain and/or support all related process documentation, including repair logs, manuals, drawings, and procedures.
• Assist in the development efforts for new product launches, product extensions, and equipment releases into the manufacturing facilities.
• Participate in product and equipment design reviews to develop robust products and manufacturing processes.
• Prepare and obtain quotes and materials necessary for manufacturing equipment modifications or enhancements.
• Work from verbal instructions, sketches, blueprints, or other departmental inputs toward process modifications or improvements.
• Exhibit professionalism in interactions with all levels of associates and interface with customers as required.
What your background should include:
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is necessary.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: (subject to $124,176k - 186,264k annually, subject to change based on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
