Role Summary:

The Automation Technician will play a crucial role in the upkeep and enhancement of sophisticated production machinery. This position is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of automated systems, which enables our client to deliver high-quality products consistently. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, addressing equipment failures, and collaborating with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and enhance automated systems.

Key Duties:

  • Maintain and enhance production equipment to facilitate manufacturing processes.
  • Effectively communicate equipment status to supervisors and line leads.
  • Identify equipment issues, recommend corrective measures, and work with Manufacturing Engineers to implement solutions.
  • Manage work orders through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Ensure proper inventory management by tracking parts within the CMMS.
  • Engage in process evaluations and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
  • Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety protocols to maintain a safe workplace.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical and pneumatic skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a technician role involving complex machinery.
  • Experience with automated assembly systems and high-volume production lines is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and mechanical diagrams.
  • Experience in troubleshooting intricate systems is highly advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills are necessary.
  • A proactive and positive attitude with a commitment to professional growth.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance on machinery used in specialized product manufacturing.
  • Fabricate components as required in the machine shop.
  • Respond quickly to service calls to minimize production downtime.
