Job Title: Field Automation Specialist

At Carrier, we're seeking a highly skilled Field Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our field operations, you will be responsible for the commissioning and optimization of building automation systems for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
  • Mentor and develop less experienced Field Automation Specialists on all field tools and technology.
  • Serve as a local contact for technical issues and provide effective solutions for complex system problems.
  • Provide turnkey project delivery on medium to large projects and ensure that systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.
  • Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports, and implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate and document the status and details of the project for the customer and provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or a technical field.
  • Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
  • Valid and current Driver's License and can be insurable by the company's insurance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, Associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or a related field.
  • Proficient with advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL, and installing building automation controls.
  • Ability to navigate and integrate into a variety of building automation systems.
  • Expert with TCP/IP networks including wireless technology.
  • Experience interacting with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of multiple disciplines.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications.
