Job Summary

The Patient Access Representative Senior plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient registration and financial transactions. This position requires a high level of expertise in patient access, insurance protocols, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient registration with minimal assistance, ensuring accurate and timely collection of patient information.
  • Identify and verify potential payer sources, including federal, state, and county assistance programs, to ensure reimbursement for services rendered.
  • Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a smooth admission and discharge process.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance mechanisms to ensure compliance with government payer regulations.
  • Train and onboard new employees, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Perform audits to ensure registration practices are compliant with government payer regulations.
  • Collect and confirm complete patient demographic information, including employer, financial information, emergency contact, insurance, subscriber ID, etc.
  • Collect out-of-pocket liabilities from patients upfront and apply, adjust, and reconcile daily point-of-service cash reports.
Requirements
  • Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Requires at least 12 months of experience as a Patient Access Representative, with a competency score of 95% or higher.
  • Active CHAA Certification preferred.
  • Typing skills of 35-45 words per minute.
  • Proficiency with MSExcel and MSWord.
  • Experience with EPIC system preferred.
