Compact Equipment Sales Representative

Flint Equipment, a leading John Deere dealer for Construction and Forestry Equipment, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Compact Equipment Sales Representative to join our team in West Columbia, SC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling the John Deere light equipment line of construction equipment to customers in your assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to a positive work environment and promote the values and mission of Flint Construction and Forestry and its product lines.
  • Build lasting relationships with customers, focusing on long-term growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote new JD compact equipment products to customers in their assigned territory.
  • Responsible for all sales activities from lead generation through closing the sale.
  • Interact with existing and prospective customers to demonstrate products and explain features.
  • Monitor market conditions, competitors' products, and pricing.
  • Resolve problems and provide ongoing support to your customer base.
  • Forecast annual territory sales.
  • Maintain an accurate customer and machine population information database.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Business-related field or equivalent combination of experience and education required.
  • Rental Sales experience a plus.
  • Territory Management and sales training experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of local markets, John Deere, and/or competitive equipment preferred.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present and negotiate exceptionally well.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment financing and accounting.
  • Versatile and enthusiastic with high energy and exceptional self-motivation to succeed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Laptop, Smartphone, and related products.
  • Ability to travel territory assigned using company truck and trailer where necessary.
